Westhab Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors
Westhab is proud to announce the appointment of three new leaders to its Board of Directors: Ajay Kumar, Ebony Miranda, and Mark Talgo. Together, they bring years of experience and expertise in finance, banking, real estate, operations, and community engagement that will advance Westhab’s mission of building communities and creating pathways out of homelessness.

Ajay Kumar
Ajay Kumar is a Partner at Bain Capital and a member of the North America Private Equity team, where he focuses on investments in the industrials sector. Since joining Bain in 2011, he has built a distinguished career in finance and consulting. Ajay has been involved in public service and community impact throughout his work with organizations like Waterfront Alliance, City Year, KIPP Schools, and City Harvest. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with an AB in social studies from Harvard.

Ebony Miranda
Ebony Miranda is the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for Strategy and Operations Manager at Apple Bank, where she leads the enterprise-wide technology transformation across the organization’s branch network. With over two decades of experience, Ebony has brought her expertise in operations, customer engagement, and organizational leadership to roles at Apple Bank, Popular Bank, and Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh. She is a Bronx native and earned an MBA from SUNY Empire State College and a BA in international business from Fordham University.

Mark Talgo
Mark recently retired as Senior Managing Director, Head of Real Estate Investors at NYL Investors. Over his distinguished career, he oversaw a $70 billion real estate investment portfolio for New York Life and third-party investors. During his nearly four-decade career, Mark led public and private real estate debt and equity investment strategies, commercial mortgage lending, and corporate real estate activities. Mark holds an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University and a B.A. from Lake Forest College.
