Westhab is excited to share the appointment of several leadership promotions: Michael Curti as Chief Legal Officer; Stephanie Viola as Chief Financial Officer; Jacqueline Maurno as AVP of Risk Management; and Justine McPherson as AVP of Real Estate Development.

Michael Curti joined Westhab in 2024 as General Counsel, bringing extensive experience in government and public finance law. Prior to joining Westhab, he served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Yonkers from 2012 to 2018, a Westchester County Assistant District Attorney, principal law secretary to a New York State Supreme Court Justice, and partner at a regional law firm. He earned his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and his law degree from St. John’s University School of Law.

Stephanie Viola has been part of Westhab for 23 years, advancing through several roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Finance. As Chief Financial Officer, she will lead Westhab’s Finance Department of more than 30 staff members, overseeing corporate and grant accounting, financial reporting, real estate and property management finance, budgeting, and forecasting. Her extensive experience with Westhab and deep understanding of the organization’s operations is uniquely valuable as she takes on this new leadership role.

Jacqueline Maurno joined Westhab in 2021 as Director of Risk Management and now serves as Assistant Vice President of Risk Management, leading the organization’s risk strategy and insurance purchasing. She brings experience in strategic insurance purchasing and risk management consulting for private equity firms and their portfolio companies across multiple sectors. Jackie holds an MBA from Pace University and a BA in Political Science and Communication Studies from the University of Michigan. She is a licensed Property & Casualty insurance broker.

Justine McPherson joined Westhab in 2023 and brings more than 20 years of experience in real estate development, including affordable and market-rate housing, commercial, hospitality, and mixed-use projects. As AVP of Real Estate Development, she leads Westhab’s team of development managers and oversees active development projects. Prior to joining Westhab, Justine managed more than $250 million in large-scale projects throughout New York City and the Northeast. Since joining Westhab, she has overseen more than $525 million in completed and ongoing development projects.

Congratulations to Mike, Stephanie, Jacqueline, and Justine on these well-deserved leadership appointments. We’re proud to recognize their contributions to Westhab and look forward to their continued service as the organization grows across New York.
