The blog team is comprised of Westhab staff from all areas of the organization who have volunteered to help tell our story. Our team ranges from front-line staff through our President and CEO, with Westhab experience spanning from a few months to more than 15 years. We each bring a unique perspective to the website, and we look forward to sharing our stories with you!
Akil coordinates training programs for Westchester County residents. He joined the blogging team because he is very conscious of what is happening in the community, and he wants to take advantage of the opportunity to express his views in the hope of creating more dialogue on topics that affect the day-to-day lives community members.
Community Service Coordinator/Program Director at Westhab’s Dayspring Community Center
Theresa coordinates programming at the Dayspring Community Center in the Nodine Hill section of Yonkers. She blogs to help spread the word about new and exciting developments at our expanding community center.
Richard’s job is to link qualified candidates to job opportunities. He blogs for the excitement of sharing cutting-edge ideas with hope that his words will resonate across the community and make a difference in people’s lives.
As a facility manager, Angelo wears many hats—looking after the physical condition of Westhab facilities, from safety to aesthetics. He blogs in an effort to share his wide range of experiences from a unique perspective and to highlight the good that Westhab does for the community.
Chris finds affordable housing for Westhab's clients, continuously working to maintain his relationships with landlords so as to always have rental options. He joined Westhab's blog team because he loves to express his creative side and would like to support the artistic side of Westhab.
Michelle oversees the administrative processes of several buildings in the Westhab permanent housing portfolio. She joined the blog team to give insight on Westhab's effect on the communities served and share some insight on what drives us.
President & Chief Executive Officer
Rich is responsible for Westhab’s overall planning, development, and operations. In other words, the buck stops here. He joined the blogging team because he can’t just eat, sleep and breathe Westhab. He wants to write about it too!
Grants and Development Officer
Nellie is the Grants & Development officer, the grant-writing arm of Westhab's three-person fundraising team. As her job may suggest, Nellie likes to write, and blogging provides the opportunity to share Westhab's important work.
Lucy is the administrative assistant to our Senior Vice President of Services, James Coughlin. She joined the blog team to share information and ideas and to spread the word about the great work Westhab is doing.
