 Through
our Emergency Housing Apartment Program, Westhab provides
several housing options for homeless families and individuals
for whom homeless shelter housing is not, or is no longer,
appropriate.
The Westchester County Department of Social
Services places families and individuals in our transitional
housing, in some cases, after initial assessments by
the County's Singles Homeless Assessment Center. In
other cases, people move to our transitional housing
after residing for a period of time in Westhab-managed
or other County homeless shelters.
As in our shelters, Westhab uses case
management to provide social serivces to residents of
our Transitional housing
