Transitional Housing

Owned/Managed Transitional Housing

Westhab owns and/or manages properties in Yonkers and Mount Vernon containing a total of 36 apartments for use by homeless families who demonstrate, either upon initial assessment, or, after residing in more closely supervised environments, a level of competency to live semi-autonomously.

Westhab provides all property management functions for these apartments, including regular inspections, maintenance, and security.

Families receive Westhab casework supervision through the development and implementation of Westchester County Department of Social Services-mandated Individual Living Plans and monitoring compliance and progress with same. Caseworkers meet with families on a regular basis to provide referrals and advocacy as they help them work toward self-sufficiency.
